FAQ

Quick answers about expiring links and QR codes.

How does TempQR work?

You paste a URL, choose an expiry time (preset or custom duration), and TempQR generates a shareable link and a QR code that points to that expiring link.

What happens after the link expires?

The expiring link stops redirecting to the target URL. People scanning the QR after expiry will see that the link is no longer available.

What expiry durations can I choose?

You can use quick presets (including 1 minute and 5 minutes) or a custom duration. The maximum selectable expiry is up to 10 years.

Can I edit or extend an existing expiring link?

No. Generate a new one with the updated URL or expiry duration.

Why does preview sometimes look different in chat apps?

Chat apps cache previews aggressively. Some apps show an image card, others show only a link. Sending the same link later may still show the old preview until the cache refreshes.

Is TempQR free?

Yes. TempQR is currently free to use.
